Summary
Sepialune collects no data. It has no analytics, makes no network requests and contains no third-party code.
Your settings (your choices in the popup, for all sites and for the sites you chose something for) are stored only in your browser's local extension storage and never leave your device. Reset all settings in the popup deletes them; uninstalling Sepialune does too.
Sepialune asks for access to all websites only so it can change their colors. To decide how, it looks at the colors, layout and text color of the pages you open, on your device. It never stores or sends anything it sees there.
What pages can see: pages can tell that Sepialune is installed, as they can with most
extensions that change how pages look, by the attributes it sets on the page
(data-sepialune), its styles, and the small wrapper it puts around attachShadow to see web
components early. A page can also tell the mode Sepialune applied to it, and with that its own
site's switch and color. A frame from another site shown inside a page, like an embedded video or
comment box, can tell the mode Sepialune applied there, which follows the settings of the page
it is shown on. So a service embedded on many sites could learn which of them you
switched off or gave another color. Pages can't read your settings otherwise, or learn
the settings of sites they aren't shown on.
Legal basis and retention

- Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The storage is strictly necessary for the extension to keep the chosen settings.
- Retention period
- The settings stay stored until they are deleted as described above. Zerbimil keeps no copy.

Rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, data subjects have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. A message to the address above is sufficient. Sepialune's settings are held only in the browser on the device. Zerbimil can neither see nor delete them.
